Freddie Terrell.



Freddie got his first guitar at the age of twelve and begin playing for his Father's gospel group, (The Southern Bells Gospel Singers) at the age of thirteen. He formed his first group, Freddie Terrell and The Blue Rhythm Band, in 1967. This started a Fruitful career as a Professional, guitarist, producer, writer, arranger and recording artist, that continues to this day. In 1970 Freddie formed the Soul Expedition Band that would go on to play an important role in Atlanta's R & B and Soul scene. Freddie recorded "You Had It Made" and "Why Not Me" for Capitol Records And the coveted "Soul Expedition" album for Lefevre Sounds in 1971 and "Soul Know How To Make Music" and "Respect Your Self", For Shout & Bang Records in 1972. In addition to his work with the Soul Expedition and other Atlanta area bands, Freddie has toured with and played for, Wilson Pickett, Jackie Wilson, Major Lance, Bobby Womack, Curtis Mayfield, The Drifters, The Ojays, The Manhattans, The Shirelles, The Staple Singers, Glady Knight and The Pips, Peabo Bryson, Hermon Hitson, Moms Mabley, Willie Tyler and Lester, Barbara Hall, Sandra Hall, Lee Moses, The Mighty Hannibal, Dee Dee Gartrell, The Violinaires, The Echo's Of Zion and many more. For this CD, Freddie has gone back to some of his favorites and recorded them the way he feel and play them on stage today.
